Small 18th or 19th century waistcoat chain seal, from rock crystal with a three-sided cut prism, rotating on its central axis.
Two of faces are richly engraved with a grand style coat of arms, which is reflected on the plain face.
Superb. Mount consists of a hoop and two reinforcements that meet on suspension ring, which bears a 14k gold hallmark, probably German (photo).
Dimensions: approximately 25mm x 20mm x 15mm.
Engraved crystal is in good condition, with a trace of soldering on bail (photo).
