Antique Umbrella, Very Good Condition, Suitable For Weddings Or Historical Reenactments, 1860
Antique umbrella. The silk canopy has been replaced, but the original fringe has been retained. This parasol is therefore in excellent condition and ready for use. It features a lovely carved bone handle decorated with foliage. When open, a mechanism allows the canopy to be tilted by pushing the upper metal ring (at the top of the parasol, just below the canopy). The central metal ring allows the parasol to be folded in half, making it easier to store or carry in a carriage. It measures 24,41 inches long when closed and approximately 20,08 inches in diameter when open. France, circa 1850.
