Devotional Reliquary Pendant
A heart-shaped reliquary pendant, crafted in gilt bronze, finely repoussé and chased, dating from the 18th century. The main face is adorned with the Paschal Lamb. The scene is framed by a rich, intricately worked Baroque-inspired foliate scroll. The heart opens to reveal a small interior compartment, intended to hold a relic, a fragment of blessed cloth, or a devotional object. The piece is fitted with a suspension ring, allowing it to be worn as a pendant or hung in a home devotional space. Please note: the clasp is no longer functional; the two halves of the heart have separated.
