Cornac Platter

We present this lovely plate from Nevers, dating from the first third of the 19th century. It depicts the mahout of the giraffe Zarafa, which was given to Charles X in 1826 by the Ottoman Viceroy of Egypt, Mehemet Ali. It is in very good condition, despite a small chip in the glaze around the rim. Weight: 387 grams. Shipping extra (€26).
