Bassanello Earthenware Dessert Service, Italy, 1968
Dessert service consisting of six individual plates and a large serving platter, made from white enamelled earthenware by the Bassanello factory in Civita Castellana; relief decoration of wings along the edge of the plate.
Each piece bears, under the glaze, the “Bassanello” mark and, in the ceramic body, an engraved date from September 1968, with separate days for each piece— a rare detail attesting to artisanal production and daily monitoring of the workshop’s work.
Condition: Excellent original condition, with no cracks or restorations.
