A rare box from an early 19th-century sacristy, its tiered design forming a pedestal base, crafted from fine (satin) rosewood. It served to store liturgical objects on two levels, the main compartment locking with a white porcelain entrance. This functional curiosity allows for both storage and a magnificent display of an object. Large and in excellent condition, this liturgical curiosity is sure to impress with its size, quality of craftsmanship, and the choice of beautiful, sound wood, preserved from the ravages of time (circa 1830).
