1920sdecorative French Chandelier In Metal And Glass With Eight Arms

This chandelier was made in France in the 1920s.
This decorative light fixture has a gilt metal frame with a beautiful warm patina. Its elegantly curved arms extend outward in symmetrical scrolls. At the top, coiled metal ornaments rise toward the suspension chain, adding height and elegance. (The chain length is adjustable.)
It holds eight candle-style bulbs with cream-colored cylindrical sleeves reminiscent of traditional wax candles. Each bulb rests in a shallow, round metal cup that matches the finish of the frame. Numerous crystal embellishments adorn the piece. Large, faceted, teardrop-shaped pendants hang from the arms and center, catching and reflecting the light. There are also elongated crystal prisms, leaf-shaped glass pieces, and delicate rows of small, pearl-like crystals draped in swags between the arms.
Near the center, at the bottom, a large crystal pendant structures the whole. Small glass flower-shaped ornaments dot the structure, reinforcing the floral and romantic theme.
