“ornos,” 1964, Oil And Pencil On Canvas By Michael Snow, Signed On The Reverse
Artist: Michael Snow
This interesting oil and pencil on canvas painting is by Michael Neville Seward Snow, 1930-2012.
Titled 'Ornos', it is signed on the reverse in 1964.
Beautiful subtle colours.
Born in Manchester, Snow, after attending Rugby School, moved to Cornwall in 1952. He did not forget his roots, however: he was one of the founders of the Peterloo Group in 1957 and exhibited there personally in 1959. He also exhibited in Exeter, where he also taught.
We have had this work custom-framed in a black tray frame with gold banding.
