Year 1788). This charming and delicate copy is bound in beautiful red morocco leather, the covers adorned with medallions depicting a gallant scene of two ladies of the court playing blind man's bluff with a putto, a border frieze on the covers, a smooth spine decorated with a gilt serpentine tool, endpapers of rich domino paper, with the calendar for the two semesters of 1788 at the beginning and end, and 12 beautiful figures of ladies with their hats printed on thick paper... A little gem worthy of Marie Antoinette's household, with all the poetry and the carefree attitude of that period at the end of Louis XVI's reign...
