Large, finely chased and gilded bronze paper knife in the form of an antique dagger, decorated with classical figures and birds. The exquisite detail of the decoration is noteworthy. Signed by the sculptor: Ferdinand Levillain (1837-1905) and the founder: Ferdinand Barbedienne. Paris, circa 1870. Excellent original condition (some minor wear to the gilding), no damage or restoration. Length: 32.8 cm Width: 4.6 cm Thickness: 1.2 cm
