Pair of very large torchères – Terracotta and giltwood – Renaissance style – H. 178 cm (6 available) An imposing pair of very large torchères, combining sculpted terracotta and giltwood elements. Each stem rests on a quadrangular base adorned on the front with fantastic masks in relief, in the style of the Italian Renaissance. The richly detailed decoration evokes Mannerist ornamentation, with cartouches, scrolls, and chimeric figures. The upper section consists of a five-light bouquet per torchère, in gilt metal, with elegantly curved arms and stylized candle cups.
