Chaumet snake sapphire hairpin in 18 karats gold and horn. This Chaumet hairpin features a serpent motif coiling around the top. The serpent is crafted in gold, its head adorned with two rose-cut diamonds and a cabochon-cut natural sapphire. The serpent's eyes are set with two small cabochon rubies. Antique pin, circa 1900, Chaumet, France.
Eagle head hallmark, double numbering (on the reverse of the pin and on the back of the snake), unsigned pin.
