Art Nouveau gilt bronze inkwell, signed J. Anglès and dated 1900 on the base, along with the inscription "Croix Vallon." Depicting a nude woman leaning over a naturalistic basin. Sculpted decoration of branches and foliage, fine workmanship. Includes its glass inkwell. In very good condition. *Joaquim Anglès (1859-1911) was a Spanish sculptor. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1890, and received an honorable mention in 1899. He designed statuettes and objets d'art in the Art Nouveau style.
