A natural wood sculpture forming a pedestal, the central section depicts a standing Breton woman wearing traditional clothing consisting of a long dress and a headdress that appear to be from Pont-Aven. She wears clogs and holds an umbrella in front of her. Above her head, she supports a short, turned baluster surmounted by a round platform. Her feet rest on a turned and carved support fixed to a wider, more stable, square base.
Very good condition.
Period: Late 19th or early 20th century.
