19th Century Mettlach Glazed Stoneware Beer Serving Mug
Signed Mettlach Villeroy & Boch (VB), this serving beer mug is quite rare; we are more accustomed to the classic drinking steins from this manufacturer, which specialized in them. This mug is made of glazed stoneware with a fleur-de-lis design encircled by twisted beaded ornamentation, all on a light background. The pewter lid is inset with a faience section.
