Lefaucheux-type Revolver In A Case
A complete box containing a Lefaucheux pinfire revolver, single-action, six shots, with all its accessories: screwdriver, ebony cleaning rod, and pin percussion caps housed in a small compartment with a lid.
The box is made of flamed mahogany; the lid's escutcheon is blank, and the interior is lined with electric blue velvet. A small key secures the closure.
The entire weapon is blued. The open-framed frame is entirely engraved in gold with scrolls and various motifs. The trigger is folding. The cylinder has six chambers arranged symmetrically around a cylindrical channel into which the cylinder axis is inserted. It is perfectly indexed.
The blued barrel with fixed front sight is engraved in gold on the top "Brossais à Maestricht". The grip panels are made of carved light walnut, held in place by screws secured in beautifully engraved metal eyelets.
The whole is in very good condition and has retained all of its blued finish and gold.
