Louis XV Style Commode With Crossbow, 18th Century
Louis XV style commode, 18th century. This elegant 18th-century commode is a high-quality piece in the Louis XV style, perfectly illustrating the refinement of French furniture of this period. The corner mounts, keyhole escutcheons, drop handles, and central ornamentation are also in finely chased and gilt bronze, decorated with rocaille and foliate motifs. The tabletop, with its undulating front, is topped with a thick slab of Aleppo Breccia marble, perfectly fitted and following the curves of the frame. It boasts a beautiful patina, harmonious proportions, and is a highly decorative piece in excellent condition. A characterful piece ideal for a classic or contemporary interior seeking the authenticity and elegance of 18th-century France. It measures 87 cm in length, 47 cm in depth, and 81 cm in height.
