Joseph Crozes, a painter born in Arvieu (Aveyron), was active from the 1930s to the 1950s. While he primarily painted landscapes, he also devoted himself to still lifes. In Paris, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1933, at the Salon des Indépendants from 1938 onwards, and at the Salon d'Automne in 1941.
