Virgin and Child in Stone, 15th or 16th Century. Sculpture of the Virgin and Child from the late 15th century in limestone with traces of polychromy. The Virgin wears a veil and has almond-shaped eyes. The infant Jesus, resting on her left arm, has some missing pieces, including his head. This sculpture must have been fixed to a chapel wall; for this reason, it shows traces of reinforcement and some additions on the back. Origin: Centre-Val de Loire region.
