Dating from the end of Louis XV's reign, this charming portfolio on period laid paper catalogs the diverse plants of the Aude department in Occitanie, pressed with care to preserve their identity and colors. It also serves as a delightful glossary of the flora of the northern Narbonne region, its surrounding ponds and the Clape massif, and the lagoon strip, so rich in endives.
