Small ash-glazed pot from Sawankhalok, Thailand, 16th century. Minor chip on the rim. Sawankhalok ceramics played a significant role in trade and cultural exchange in Southeast Asia from the 14th to the 16th centuries. Ceramics from this region were highly sought after, both domestically and within maritime trade networks, their unique motifs becoming emblematic of Thailand's cultural identity during the Sukhothai period.
