Rococo Style Secretary
A beautiful secretary desk in finely carved and molded walnut. The front and sides are curved. The upper section features foliate scroll supports, and the back is paneled with carved decoration. It opens with four drawers and a drop-front, decorated in the Rococo style with attributive motifs. The drop-front reveals a theater-style interior and six drawers in elm burl, with a felt-lined top. The rounded uprights have panels and mounts, and the feet are scrolled. The sides are paneled. Very high quality, in the style of Honoré Dufin, circa 1900.
