Magnificent finely carved and molded walnut bedstead. The head is adorned with a large flowery rocaille shell, putti in a frame of crooks and crescents with foliage. The foot with a flowery rockery shell, cornucopia with flowers and acanthus in a frame of crescents and scrolls. Sleepers with reserves, acanthus and shells. Uprights and snail feet with falling acanthus and shells. Remarkable work of sculpture, in the style of the Mercier house in Paris. Circa 1900. Headboard: height 164 cm, width 166 cm.
