Beautiful cylinder desk forming a bookcase. Solid mahogany and veneer, lemonwood fillets and ebonized wood. Upper part with three glazed doors and three drawers. Molded pediment with projections and ogee, dentil cornice. Fluted column uprights. Desk part: one drop-leaf and four drawers, one of which is double. The drop-leaf reveals seven drawers, one of which is double, a mirrored door, and eight hidden drawers. Flat fluted columns and half-columns. Retractable top with leather top edged in gilt. Rounded uprights and fluted spindle legs. Bronze knobs and pull handles. Brass keyholes, clover locks. Oak frame, french polish. Late 18th century, in the style of Bernard Molitor.
