French 18k Gold Snuff Box
Rectangular snuff box in 18K yellow gold (750‰), featuring a polylobed bar clasp set with brilliant-cut diamonds. Bearing the maker’s mark of Soubrenie & Bois. French workmanship, 1940s. Gross weight: 73 grams. The box is preserved in its original fitted case. In 1946, the Maison Raymond Soubrenie became the Soubrenie & Bois workshop, which for several decades supplied the major Place Vendôme jewelers, including Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, Mellerio and Marchak.
