This design is a beautiful example of functional perfection and the minimalist design language of the Bauhaus, which prioritized functionality while simultaneously pioneering a "new" elegance. The open tubular steel frame is upholstered, both on the seat and backrest, in thick, black full-grain leather (vegetable-tanned cowhide), giving the chair a particularly elegant silhouette. The backrest is designed with a pivot point in the center, allowing it to move and adapt flexibly to the user's posture.
The frame bears the designer's signature and a unique serial number, "6709" and "9853," respectively, guaranteeing its provenance from an authorized manufacturer.
Vintage production circa 1970s/80s.
Excellent condition and sold as a pair.
