Bronze "Pike Bench" by Claude Lhoste. Very original subject weighing 5kg and of very good quality. Claude Lhoste, born in 1929 and deceased in 2010, was a renowned modern art wildlife sculptor. He began his career sculpting a parrot and quickly developed an elegiac and tense body of work representing the animal world with much tenderness and humor. Lhoste's art aims at the essential, exploring the diversity and the possibilities of sculptural invention offered by animal subjects. He was the creator of numerous bronzes and some pâte de verre, having collaborated with the Daum studio.
