Bronze "sow" by Claude Lhoste. A very original piece weighing 8 kg and of very good quality. Claude Lhoste, born in 1929 and deceased in 2010, was a renowned modern animal sculptor. He began his career sculpting a parrot and quickly developed an elegant and vibrant body of work representing the animal world with great tenderness and humor. Lhoste's art aims for the essential, exploring the diversity and possibilities for artistic invention offered by the animal subject. He was the creator of numerous bronzes and some pâte de verre pieces, having collaborated with the Daum company.
