Iconic opalescent vase with a checkerboard pattern, dating from the Art Deco period (circa 1925-1929) by master glassmaker Marius-Ernest Sabino. Round in shape and made of thick molded and pressed glass, it features a geometric design of Cubist cabochons arranged at regular intervals in high relief against a background of stylized lines. The vase boasts a beautiful opalescence that allows for a lovely diffusion of light. This vase is listed in the Sabino catalogue under number 7048. Signed on the inside base "Sabino FRANCE".
