"Empire Table From Lucca With Inlaid Marble Top"
Empire table from Lucca, made in the early 19th century, characterized by sober lines and a monumental elegance typical of Neoclassical taste. The finely inlaid marble top features a refined decoration with geometric and/or floral motifs, executed with great technical skill. The apron, with harmonious proportions, rests on solid legs of architectural form, possibly recalling columns or sculpted supports in keeping with the Imperial tradition. The ensemble attests to the craftsmanship of the Lucchese workshops and to the influence of the Empire style within the Tuscan context.
