Inspired by the Art Deco style and the movement of the 50s-60s, this ceramic vase entirely made & painted by hand is originally from Morocco, more precisely from the Serghini workshops in Safi, a port city in western Morocco.
Its ovoid shape is completed at the top of a circular collar, perfect for holding a bouquet of flowers in place. His whole body is covered with patterns reminiscent of a style close to art deco and cubism of the mid-20th century, where lines frame motifs in crescent moon, leaves and circular shades of white, blue and yellow.
In very good general condition, this vase signed under its base "A Serghini Safi" attests to its authenticity, perfect for decoration or for a collection on the theme of Maghrebi popular art in the 20th century.
