"1 Octavo Pamphlet From 1720, "la Grace," A Poem By Louis Racine, With A Beautiful Reuillon Bookplate. Mal-des-compagnies"
In a handsome 18mo volume bound in tinted calfskin with raised bands, decorated with gilt tooling, red morocco title, marbled endpapers, and a fine bookplate bearing the arms of Reuillon Mal t Des Comp. Clearly belonging to a maritime family, this book was purchased in Dijon on July 31, 1750, with the purchaser's inscription and signature on the flyleaf. The title page is missing, otherwise a very fine copy of Louis Racine's (1692-1763) "La Grace," a poem in four cantos, in its beautiful Regency binding.
