Boxwood Hunting Cartridge Reloading Tool - Circa 1900
A manual claw expander or crimper used for preparing hunting ammunition, representative of hunting objects and folk art from the early 20th century. It consists of a turned boxwood handle, a four-pronged metal frame, and a sliding adjustment ring. The end has a brass tip that acts as a tamping tool. The adjustment mechanism is functional, and the whole piece shows a patina from use.
