Koloman Wagner, an Austrian architect, born in 1841 in a district of Vienna and died in 1918 in Vienna, was an Austrian architect active primarily in the city of Vienna. Wagner adopted industrial materials and techniques for his furniture designs. No superfluous ornamentation; only the assembly of dark wood slats serves to enliven the surface or emphasize the structure. His works are found in international museums.
His Art Nouveau buildings and his writings on urban planning earned him worldwide renown.
