A large and heavy vintage Swiss cylinder music box, estimated to date from the late 19th century, in a wood-veneered case with twin carrying handles. The mechanical movement plays 8 specific tunes, as detailed on the tune sheet visible inside the lid. The mechanism features a brass pinned cylinder that plucks the teeth of a single steel comb to produce music. Operating levers, including a start/stop and change/repeat function, control the playback. The case has ebonised mouldings and is raised on flat feet.Tune SheetJuletinju Harmony HarpNaïla - Pas des deux | Delibes
