A fascinating 18th century trompe l’oeil drawing of a mounted ‘print’ of St Andreas with his cross, protected by a semi-transparent ‘sheet’, half covering the drawing. Maybe French, maybe German, maybe Dutch. Very amusing and illusionistic effect. Rare piece.
