A superb Napoleon III period mantel clock set (mid-19th century), crafted in finely chased and gilt bronze, richly decorated with polychrome cloisonné enamel plaques featuring floral and arabesque designs of Oriental inspiration, typical of the eclectic taste of the period. The set comprises a mantel clock flanked by two five-light candelabra, forming a perfectly balanced composition of great decorative refinement. The clock, with its beautifully flowing architecture, rests on cabriole feet with scrolls, adorned with mascarons, foliage, and beaded friezes. The circular enamel dial, delicately floral, features Arabic numerals and is framed by a gilt bronze bezel. The mechanical movement is present. The candelabra, of imposing height, feature the same cloisonné enamel and gilt bronze decorations, with richly molded arms and enameled candle holders, offering great elegance and perfect harmony with the clock.
