A Louis XV Period Carved and Gilded Wooden Mirror, Circa 1750. This sublime Louis XV period gilded and carved wooden mirror features a superb Rococo decoration. The mirror is richly and finely carved with asymmetrical scrolls and foliate tendrils. Its frame is decorated with a scalloped edge and carved in relief. The pediment is adorned with a stylized Rococo cartouche. It has a very attractive patina, and its original mercury glass is delicately marked by time. This piece of furniture is of very high quality, with elegant and refined lines.
