"Delftware Lamp, 18th Century."
This small Delftware lamp dates from the 18th century. The rich decoration, in the Chinese style, is blue on a white background. The lakeside landscape wraps around the body and is enlivened by a few figures. Houses, temples, and pagodas are depicted; a man rowing a boat is visible on the water, and further on, an island. The base and neck are adorned with arabesques, stylized flowers, and feathers. Small in size, the vase alone measures 28 cm, and the entire piece with the lampshade is 52 cm. It has recently been electrified. There are a few small chips in the glaze, and the neck has been slightly eroded. We are offering it with a basic lampshade, which does not justify the shipping cost. 18th century.
