Pair of Antique Girandoles – 19th Century. An elegant pair of five-light girandoles, dating from the 19th century, in gilt bronze and cut crystal. Each candelabra rests on a finely patinated bronze quadrangular base, supporting a sinuous arm structure adorned with crystal drops and pendants. The central shafts and bobeches are also made of crystal, lending lightness and brilliance to the whole. The arms hold wax-like sheathed electric candles, topped with flame-shaped bulbs, respecting the original aesthetic. The very balanced composition evokes the decorative taste of the 19th century, inspired by Louis XV and Louis XVI models, with a beautiful ornamental richness without excess. Period: 19th century.
