"Regency Fireplace, 18th Century. "
This beautiful walnut fireplace features a serpentine front, richly carved in the center with a Medici vase of flowers. On either side are a bird with outstretched wings, as well as honeycomb motifs within reserves bordered by a small, elegiac molding. The undulating jambs at the front display Regency-style carvings of curves, counter-curves, and foliate scrolls. The shaped mantel at the front is molded with a corbel; it, along with the side returns, has been replaced in the past. Dimensions: length 169 cm, height 107 cm, depth 38 cm.
