Landscape With A River, 18th Century,

This bucolic landscape is animated by a washerwoman, her basket of laundry under her arm, she holds a child by the hand, they observe while walking, a shepherdess sitting in the grass, who is teaching her dog to play beautiful, further away a man accompanies a flock of sheep. The hilly landscape is built around the three trees which are in the center of the composition, on the right, at the foot of a hill, is a church in the center of a hamlet and on the left we see the river which flows at the bottom of the valley. The bright and fresh colors are those of the gouache, the work is in a good state of conservation, and the frame which enhances it is a gilded wooden rod from the 18th. Century.
