A superb example of Russian decorative applied art from the mid-19th century. This candlestick is made of cast bronze, with entirely hand-carved work. The original gilding is remarkably well preserved. The candlestick embodies a zoomorphic style with three griffins and ram heads. A typical Russian ornament completes the composition. Candlestick height 35cm.
