Rare Early 19th Century Solid Silver Coffee Pot With Ram's Head And Lion Finial
A rare early 19th-century solid silver coffee pot/teapot resting on a circular foot with a gadrooned frieze. The spectacular spout and handle attachment both feature a ram's head. The neck is decorated with a lovely frieze alternating between mascarons and swans, and the lid is surmounted by a lion serving as a finial. Hallmarks, likely Swiss (early 19th century, see photos), need to be identified. This spectacularly decorated coffee pot/teapot is in very good condition, having been serviced and cleaned by our silversmith, with only minor scratches from use. A true marvel to discover through the attached photos...
