A stone staircase from Villebois (Ain), with a 19th-century carved astragal molding on the nosing, in perfect condition, originally from the center of Lyon. It comprises 21 levels, including two rounded starting steps and 19 straight steps. The riser height is adjustable, using the joints, from 15.5 cm to 16.4 cm (recommended height) for a maximum ascent of 326 cm to 340 cm, or 264 cm to 279 cm for 17 steps, or 232 cm to 246 cm for 15 steps. The first step projects 148 cm from the wall and is 75 cm deep at its rounded edge; it should be set a few centimeters into the floor. It includes its cast iron starting post for the handrail. The length of the straight steps projecting from the wall is 110 cm, with a tread width of 35 cm and a riser depth of 30 cm.
