"Pair Of Bedside Tables Attributed To Leleu, Art Deco Period"
A pair of Art Deco bedside tables attributed to Leleu. Leleu presents us with a neoclassical work. He presents a frame resting on slightly curved legs with a turned edge. The cabinet then becomes a mise en abyme. It rests on boxwood marquetry uprights alternating borders and circles, all on a chevron background. The sides are curved with a wood grain running vertically, revealing the slender drawers. The corner bronzes are in the form of acanthus leaves, the feet are decorated with stylized leaves, and the knobs alternate solid and void like a ring. The sycamore interior offers even more contrast. The whole rests on a very simple wooden top. Delivery possible but not included in the price.
