"Oval Tray In Black And Gold Lacquered Metal, Decorated With A Chromolithographed Landscape"
Oval tray in black lacquered metal, late 19th – early 20th century. The rim is decorated with a gilt stencil design, forming a regular frieze on a black background. The center features a chromolithograph transfer landscape depicting a lively pastoral scene, framed by a gilt medallion with a scalloped motif. The lacquer has a beautiful depth and a uniform patina from use. In very good condition, with slight signs of wear that do not alter the decoration.
