Pair Of Large Marble Cassolettes Mounted On Bronze From The 19th Century
Magnificent pair of large marble cassolettes mounted on gilded bronze from the Napoleon III period, dating from the 19th century. Each cassolette, with a height of 56 cm, a width (at the handles) of 23 cm and a diameter of the urn of 19 cm, rests on a square bronze base, topped with a pedestal decorated with garlands and a finely carved openwork basket. The sea green, serpentine marble is decorated with garlands of flowers and handles in the shape of swans' heads. The whole thing is crowned with a serpentine lid with a pinecone-shaped grip. In a perfect state !
