Paul Philippe (1870–1930) “the Awakening” Patinated Bronze Circa 1920–1930

An elegant patinated bronze sculpture depicting a nude female figure in motion, her body stretched in a graceful pose, one arm raised behind her head and the other extended forward. This dynamic and sensual pose is characteristic of the model known as "L'Éveil" (The Awakening), attributed to Paul Philippe, a major figure in Art Deco sculpture.
