Art Deco Dancing Lamp By Charles Henri Molins
Artist: Enrique Molins Balleste (1893-1958)
Art Deco lamp depicting a dancer performing the splits, dressed in an outfit and headdress typical of the 1930s, holding aloft a light-filled sphere. Original cast iron in the Art Deco style, resting on a double-layered base: an onyx base surmounted by a blue Turquin marble slab bearing the signature of the artist Enrique Molins Balleste. Born in Barcelona, he settled in Paris; his sculptures are characteristic of the 1930s. The model offered here is a rare find! In very good condition, the base is undamaged and the sculpture has not undergone any restoration.
